20/6/9: I've been doing a lot of design and photo manipulation work lately so no personal pieces for a while to come. I'm still undecided as to whether or not it would be worth sharing design work and manipulations here. Sorry for the complete absence of activity lately, I'll get back on track with the two week break coming up.

3/7/9: End of week one and I am on a few graphic design jobs and continuing work on new pieces. A still-life is (to put ironically) on the move and some more personal work too. Commissions are open.

4/7/9: Just opened my inbox to find the honur of my second Fantasyana award this time for

What a fantastic confidence boost!

Bio
I was born in Southampton England in November 1984 and spent my youth in Brisbane Australia in a nurturing artistic environment. After the death of my mother in 1998 the escapist nature of art became my greatest companion. Expression through drawing and acrylic painting had become a part of my identity and in 2004 I completed a diploma of Visual Art. It was only when I found an interest in commercial graphic design that I discovered digital painting or considered my computer as a means of artistic expression. Now living on Australia's Gold Coast, I continue practising both digital and traditional art.

Art in digital form requires the same basic understanding of the principles of design and elements of art as any traditional media. Both require the skill and original mindset to create and communicate ideas. Graphic applications are simply another way for artists to express themselves. Art has always been a part of my life and it always will be, in one form or another.
